UPDATE & EVENT SCHEDULE

Dear Adventurers,

We hope your upcoming preparations for this extreme adventure are coming along well. A short update on the up and coming event as follows.

A grand total of 8 4×4 extreme vehicles  with 23 participants are officially now registered and now preparing to overcome the obstacles  mother nature have to offer on route to one of the ultimate offroading destination. All adventurers and vehicles will roll out on the 22^nd August, 2009.

Please note there will also be an official flag off at Lake Kenyir Resort & Spa, Tasik Kenyir. Trengganu by VIP at 08.30am.

The Event Schedule as follows:-

22ndAugust, 2009

07:00am                      Rendezvous at Pengkalan Gavi-Lake Kenyir Resorts & Spa

07.00Am                     Breakfast at Lake Kenyir Resort & Spa

08.00am                      Briefing by Rate De Silva

08.30am                      Flag off at Arch of Lake Kenyir Resort & Spa by VIP

09.00am                      Convoy rolling to Laloh town

11.00am                      Last refuel and convoy rolling to Jungle.

Kindly find the event Schedule for X-Men xtreme Adventure II as attached.

Those who are putting their cars on the trailers kindly prepared to sent your vehicle to Subang 2 to load up before 11am on 21st August,2009.

If come from Sg Buloh is just right after the cross junction towards Shah Alam and old airport road. First turning on the right after traffic light after passing Esso on your left.

Please sent the vehicle early for standby and contact us if you can’t
find the place.

A short check list :
1. Jerry Cans
2. Drinking waters a must for all vehicles
3. Those on medicine kindly make sure you bring along your needs.
4. Torch light and all your camping gears
5. Meals provided in the jungle but keep some muching rations like biscuits or power bar or a small stove for instant noodle or drinks.
6. Beers available for those interested at a special price.  Heineken, Guiness, or Calsberg
* CAMPSITE DRINKING NOT ADVISABLE TO DRINK AND DRIVE
7. Chankul, Machette
8. Chainsaw if possible.
9. Head torch light easy for working or moving around.
10. Baygon will be good for those having problem with leeches
11. Repellent.
12. Any other recovery items needed can contact Outdoor Centre, ORE
and 4×4 Equipment for a special price.

The rest everyone should know, bring the usual stuff that is necessary.

My cherished Defender 90 was stolen yesterday and is possibly still in KL.

Blue Boy bears registration BCT 3287 and has low profile tyres and a black metal snorkle.

Please do not inform the police as the report has not been lodged yet.
